Ohio residents of all ages can apply online for a FREE Dayton Metro Library card.

To receive a full Dayton Metro Library Card, complete this online application. Then bring your photo
ID to the Ask Me Desk at any Dayton Metro Library location to receive your library card.
Acceptable Forms of Photo ID
- Ohio Issued Driver's License or State ID Card
- Ohio Interim Identification Form
- Student or Employee Photo ID
- Armed Forces ID
- Passport, Resident Alien Card (Green Card), or Consular ID
If your photo ID does not show your current address you will also need to bring proof of address, this can be a bank check, financial statement, utility bill, or rent or mortgage receipt dated within the past 30 days.
A full card provides complete access to all library digital collection materials and resources, plus access to the extensive physical collection at our 17 locations across Montgomery County!
Physical application forms are also available and can be picked up at any location. Bring a completed
form and photo ID to an Ask Me Desk to receive your library card.
